- ★ ★ ★ ★ ★A fantastic day out for the kids. Be warned, a very strict enclosed footwear policy is enforced. If you have open toed shoes you will not be allowed to ride . Trains run on the last Sunday of each month, except in December, from 12 noon 'til 3:00pm (1:00pm 'til 4:00pm during daylight savings time). The drivers have a 20 minute break at 1:30pm. There are a number of open fire barbecues around the site as well as picnic tables. There's plenty of room to bring your own table and chairs too. Rides are free, but there are donation bins around the site. Donations help pay for upkeep and improvements to the site. The trains do give off steam and soot so don't wear your best clothes.By Russell Miller, August 18, 2016
